WINE BAR Sunday, 8 Nov, 1.45pm | 23 year old Michael Muchow is no stranger to the music industry. After growing up from a strong country music back ground there was never a doubt that Michael was born to make music. “Muchow” picked up the Guitar at the ripe age of 6 and has been bound to it since, with his singing father and proud mum supporting him every step of the way, Michael was sure to be in for one hell of a career.
After a lot of hard work playing Brisbane's hot spots, competing in Talent Quests attending Camerata and also the CMAA College of Country Music. Michael won his first Golden Guitar in 2003 at just 17 years of age along with friends Michael Fix and Benji Pocock for instrumental of the year which was a tribute to the great Barry Thornton.
But life has seemed to have dealt Michael with a lot of hardship having gone through both of his parents battle with cancer, In 2004 his father Les couldn’t hold on any longer. This was when Michael found comfort in song which helped him through the tough times, as he poured his heart out in lyrics, he become a strong songwriter.
After some time off for family now Michael is back and here to stay with the release of his debut EP which has a flavor of his unique Alternate Country, Blues and Roots stye- in stores now (distributed by One Stop Entertainment). With 6 amazing songs, co-writes by Bill Chambers and The Floods Kevin Bennett, To tell stories of his life, love and how he found happiness.
